Lavelle Ford, DDSLavelle Ford, DDS is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and has practiced in Harker Heights since his retirement from the U.S. Army in 1996. He specializes in the removal of wisdom teeth, dental implants, and the treatment of jaw deformities and facial injuries to restore function with reconstructive and cosmetic solutions. Dr. Ford has extensive experience in implant replacement of teeth, temporomandibular joint problems and diseases of the jaw and facial structure. Dr. Ford was born in Louisiana, and is a graduate of Meharry Medical College’s School of Dentistry.

BARBRA G. GRIFFIN, DDS

BARBRA G. GRIFFIN, DDSDr. Barbra Gayle Griffin is a native Texan.  She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Prairie View A & M University in 1992.  Upon graduation she attended San Jacinto College in Houston and obtained her license in Nursing and as an Emergency Medical Technician.

In 1998, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend the School of Dentistry at Meharry Medical College where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.  While in dental school she worked full-time as a nurse at Deberry Special Needs, a Tennessee Department of Corrections inmate care facility.  After a fellowship at the Harlem Hospital in New York, Dr. Griffin returned to Nashville to enter Meharry’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program.  She would serve as the Chief Resident of program.

Dr. Griffin has received extensive training in the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.  She currently holds certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
